Projects
Project and development unit
In line with the IMM’s commitment to promote non-violence, universalism and human rights in Palestine and beyond, it’s Project and Development Unit implements a wide range of projects with local and international partners.
Previous projects focused on topics such as human rights, public health, public reform, education, youth and women’s empowerment, intra-Palestinian violence, environmental protection and many others.
Previous partners include the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the European Union (EU), the US Consulate Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) and the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF).
Our approach
At the IMM, we combine the strength, expertise and resources of our three branches – our academic faculty, our media network Hona Al-Quds and our Project and Development Unit – to support and empower Palestinian communities in East Jerusalem and the West Bank.
Building on our strong connections with local communities, we carefully listen to their needs and seek to address them with the help of our numerous local and international partners.
Many of our projects focus particularly on marginalized parts of the Palestinian society, such as refugees, women and youths, since we believe that only by bringing together all parts of the Palestinian community and its supporters, we can unlock its full potential.
In all our activities, we are guided by our commitment to the values and principles of non-violence, universalism and human rights.
